This can include excessive payments like inflated commissions or rebates, covering unnecessary travel expenses, making donations to certain organizations, or sponsoring events inappropriately. Even gifts and hospitality can sometimes be considered acts of corruption. Corruption can also be hidden or disguised.
The most common form of corruption is bribery. Bribery involves offering, promising, giving, or accepting any undue financial or other advantages to secure or retain business, gain regulatory permits, or influence favourable decisions by public officials. Neither our employees nor those acting on our behalf should ever offer or accept any benefits that could persuade or appear to persuade someone to act in their own or Splice Group's favour or to influence decision-making.
Never Offer Bribes: Do not offer any benefits to persuade someone to act in your or Splice Group's favour.
Exercise Caution with Public Officials: Be especially careful when dealing with public officials. Never offer anything that could compromise their impartiality.
No Concealment: Concealing or disguising illegal activities is strictly forbidden.
